Tomorrow (Thursday, February 4) is World Cancer Day 2016.
Cancer Research UK is working with three of the UK’s leading cancer charities, Breast Cancer Care, Anthony Nolan and the Movember Foundation, to make a bigger difference.
This World Cancer Day wear a Unity Band (pictured) and become part of the generation that will transform the lives of millions of people affected by cancer.
Cancer Research UK Unity Bands are available in Cancer Research UK shops and online at www.cancerresearchuk.org/support-us/shop/world-cancer-day-2016 for a suggested donation of £2.
One in two people born after 1960 in the UK will be diagnosed with some form of cancer in their lifetime but, with the life changing advances in research over the last 40 years, survival has doubled.
Today, two in four people survive their cancer for at least 10 years. The ambition of Cancer Research UK is to accelerate progress so that within 20 years, three in four people survive their cancer.
