The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning of snow and ice for Nottinghamhsire on Sunday evening.
Forecasters are predicting heavy showers will turn into snow overnight into Monday 2nd March,
The public are advised to be aware of possible disruptions to transport.
The chief forecaster at the Met Office said: “A cold westerly flow, originally sourced from Canada, brings a mix of sleet, snow and hail showers later on Sunday and overnight.”
“Once we lose the effects of daytime sunshine, snow will start to accumulate more widely, and along with ice may present some problems, in particular for road travel on Monday morning. “
“Problems should reduce steadily further into Monday morning, as the March sunshine gets to work on melting the snow, although taking until mid to late morning across upland parts of Scotland.”
