Hucknall warned to brace itself for 70mph winds

The Met Office has launched a weather warning for strong winds across Hucknall and the rest of the East Midlands in the next 48 hours.

The yellow warning is valid from 9pm on Wednesday, March 10, and will remain in place until 3pm on Thursday, March 11.

The Met Office says Hucknall can expect strong winds accompanied by heavy and blustery showers that may bring some disruption across the whole of England and Wales.

The could mean delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are likely and that power cuts, along with delays to road, rail and air travel, are also possible.

The weather warning is in place from 9pm on Wednesday night throught to 3pm the following day

Some bus and train services may also be affected.

The Met Office added that from Wednesday through to Friday, the weather for all of us will be very unsettled with heavy blustery showers, some wintry over the hills, and longer spells of rain.

These will be accompanied by strong to gale-strength winds with severe gales possible over hills.
