Police want to trace man who may have witnessed the violent robbery of a pensioner in Bulwell Forest.
A 70-year-old man was walking along a footpath, which cuts across Bulwell Forest Golf Course, when he was attacked from behind by four males on pushbikes.
He was punched several times in the face and head and had his mobile phone stolen.
It happened at about 5.20am on 24 October 24.
The victim suffered minor facial injuries.
Detective Constable Dionne Love, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim saw a man after the robbery took place who asked if he was okay and he told him what had happened.
“We don’t know who this man is but he is potentially a witness to the robbery and we’re urging him to please come forward.”
Two 16-year-old boys and a 19-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and a second robbery which happened in Top Valley about 10 minutes later.
At about 5.30am a 52-year-old man was walking through an alleyway off Bakewell Drive when he was attacked from behind by four males on pushbikes.
The victim was kicked and punched to the face and body and was threatened with a knife. He suffered a wound to his leg during the incident
The offenders stole his rucksack containing food items and made off.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a sharp pointed article in a public place.
A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
They have all been released on police bail.
