Young man suspected of drink driving after Hucknall crash

Police were called to Wood Lane roundabout at 2.20am on Wednesday following the collision.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "The driver, a 26-year-old who is understood to be from the Hucknall area, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

"He was uninjured."

An eyewitness said: "A car was embedded in the hedge surrounding the roundabout.

"The driver must have lost control as skid marks are on the pavement and the grassed area surrounding the hedge.

"The airbags were set off on impact and one of the wheels is buckled."
