Cleanliness and staff at King’s Mill Hospital can’t be faulted

AFTER reading the article on the front page of the Dispatch entitled ‘My Hospital Hell’, I felt compelled to relate my experiences during a recent stay at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield.

I was admitted to the emergency assessment unit (EAU) on Sunday March 4 where I found all of the staff to be of the utmost quality in terms of care, courtesy and consideration. Furthermore, communication between all members of staff and myself was excellent.

The cleanliness of the ward, in my opinion, could not be faulted and although I could not eat or drink, I heard no complaints from my fellow patients regarding food or drink.

I was later moved to Ward 34 where once again all of the staff showed complete professionalism in the performance of their duties.

Here I was able to eat and drink and I must say that I have had to pay for worse food in so-called restaurants.

All in all, if I had to stay in hospital, my first choice would be King’s Mill.

Finally, I would like to say thank you to all of staff at King’s Mill who looked after me.
