Given the red-carpet treatment as honoured guests

IN reference to the ‘Drunk And Disabled’ incident at The Empire in Hucknall, which has attracted Letters to the Dispatch over the last couple of weeks.

I would like to say that I am a disabled lady who has a small team of personal assistants to help me.

We had our annual Christmas dinner at The Empire in December, and we were treated like honoured guests.

Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, Mr Darrington, and his staff.

And did I get drunk? Well, I might have been a little bit ‘squiffy’, but I was helped to the taxi after a very enjoyable time — and with no hint of disapproval from anyone.
