It is already taking a month to book in to see a dentist

I can’t agree more with Lee Waters in the Dispatch of Friday July 6 (‘Will These 52,000 New Homes Benefit Local Population?’).

I am outraged at Gedling Borough Council’s proposed plans for 1,000 houses at Top Wighay Farm with 30% social housing. There are also rumours of an incinerator.

The social housing alone will be twice the size of The Drift.

Do people realise what a strain this will be on local facilities?

I tried to make an appointment at the dentist’s and the next available slot was more than a month away.

All the new residents will be using Hucknall’s over-stretched services, not Gedling’s.

There are also a further 100 houses planned for Papplewick Lane — CRAZY!

The roads are already over-used and dangerous.
