Straighten out pothole priorities

LIVING on Central Avenue in Hucknall, I should, I suppose, be grateful to Notts County Council that the roadway is to be ‘re-dressed’ in the next few days.

But is it really the top priority to put a new surface on this pothole-free thoroughfare when you examine the state of nearby roads?

William Street runs parallel to Central Avenue and has so many potholes in it that I wonder if the residents have considered forming a mountain-rescue team.

And what about the state of our ‘luxury’ 40p-for-the-first-hour Piggins Croft car park? Huge holes all over the busiest area.

I really don’t understand how Notts County Council prioritises its road maintenance.
