WOWING THE JUDGES -- Caroline 'Cee' Oliver at the UK Championships

Globetrotting bodybuilder Caroline ‘Cee’ Oliver is dreaming of turning professional after completing a year to remember.

Caroline, who is head of PE at Bulwell Academy, just failed to successfully defend her title in the fitness category of the UK Championships at Harrogate in Yorkshire.

But finishing second rounded off a 2013 season in which she has made the top ten in the World and European Championships and the top six in the Arnold Classic Europe tournament, named after the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Now she is waiting to hear from the UK Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (UKBFF) if her achievements have earned her professional status.

“I am planning my off-season with a view to pushing forward in 2014 and making a name for myself on the European stage, as well as trying to crack the USA,” said 38-year-old mum Caroline.

At Harrogate, she was beaten only by the remarkable unbeaten 53-year-old Irina Cotton, who was bouncing back from a serious ankle-injury to land her fourth British fitness title.

And Caroline feels that, despite defeat, she has “made massive improvements to my shape” during the year -- thanks largely to work with experienced personal trainer Mark Coles, of the M10 Fitness training facility in Nottingham.

“I have also made great improvements to my athletic ability by learning advanced gymnastics skills with Tuyo Acrobaics,” she added.

“Working with top-class coaches has enabled me to gain higher placings internationally.

“I will work even harder next season to bring a better package to the stage.”

Another feather in Caroline’s cap is an invitation to represent the UKBFF as an ambassador to promote fitness.

“This will involve me working with children, aged eight to 16, in the local area,” she explained. “I need to get more children doing the same disciplines as myself.

“I will be running local workshops so that more information can be obtained, and from next June onwards, competitions will take place.

“Gymnastics ability is essential, as well as dance and stage presence, so anyone interested should contact me at Bulwell Academy (0115 9647640) or e-mail me at”
