Conny on their own at top of Hucknall dominoes league

A NEW winter league season is under way.
A NEW winter league season is under way.

The season might be only three weeks old, but just one team retains a flawless record in the HUCKNALL WINTER DOMINOES LEAGUE.

Conny boast six points out of six after a 3-2 victory away to Station Hotel PH in the latest round of matches.

They now stand alone at the top of the table after the first defeat of the new campaign for second-placed Bentinck Club, who fell 3-2 at home to George Street Club.

Defending winter league champions Bestwood Village Social Club are up to third after a 3-2 win at home to Royal British Legion.

But defending summer league champions Shamrock are as low as eighth in the ten-team league after losing 3-2 at home to Central Club.

The week’s remaining fixture completed a clean sweep of 3-2 scorelines as Empire fended off Ravenshead raiders, Sherwood Ranger.

Alongside Legion, Ranger are one of two sides yet to pick up a single point.

However, the leg-difference tallies suggest there is precious little between any of the teams at the moment. Even the unbeaten leaders are only on plus-three.
