At Stone Close, a rejuvenated Kiveton Park knocked off a massive score to defeat Glapwell.

Luke Smith opened the innings for Glapwell along with Steve Gooding, and they set up a massive total of 262-5 with the former making an outstanding 121 and the latter a terrific 72.

Kiveton have been in poor form but this was a return to their very best. Runs flowed from the bats of Adam Whiteley (65), Tom Haslam (80) and Alex Gilbert (53) as Kiveton reached 263- 6 and victory.

There can be no doubt that the game between Anston and North Wheatley with Leverton was a thriller in every sense of the word.

Batting first, Anston flayed the North Wheatley attack to every corner of the Ryton Road ground, building up a mammoth total of 275-9.

Great knocks by Anthony Roddis (78), Andrew Pickering (70) and Amila Perera (49) helped them along to this huge total.

Jamie Bovill (3-55) and Matt Loates (4-31) pegged away diligently on what looked to be a hopeless task, but North Wheatley, who have had a terrible run of late, had other ideas on this subject.

They set about the task with a real fighting spirit and a zest for victory with Jonathan Loates (62), Luke Tong (50), Pat Stutt (38) and a brilliant 80 from Matt Loates taking them past the winning post on 276-5 with four overs to spare.

Once again Amila Perera, with 3-57, was the best bowler, but Anston must have wished he could bowl at both ends!

This was a first class performance from a side who, when they are at their best, are difficult to beat.

Clipstone strengthened their grip at the top with a winning draw against Caythorpe II.

Batting first, Clipstone made 231-7 with Lee Wilson (61), Josh Flowers (68) and Jason Gorman (40) all batting well. John Kneale (3-46) was the best bowler for Caythorpe.

In reply Caythorpe put on a dogged show of strength on 147-7 with Edward Clarke (37) propping up the innings.

Jason Gorman (3-44) and Ian Woodall (4-18) both bowled well, but the final wickets eluded them as they pressed for victory.

Killamarsh, who have been in better form over the last few weeks, slumped back to their worst after an eight wicket drubbing by Papplewick & Linby.

Richard Hodgkinson bowled brilliantly to take 6-29 as Killamarsh were bowled out for just 73.

This proved to be totally inadequate as Alex Lloyd (47 not out) steered them to an eight wicket win on 75-2 with consummate ease.

Worksop showed up Thoresby Colliery for their renowned inconsistency as they eased to a winning draw.

Last week Thoresby beat Farnsfield, but this side was totally different and at no time did they look like repeating this form and slumped to a losing draw.

Luke Ambrose (67 not out), Bernhard Beukman (55) and Chris Taylor helped Worksop to 221-5 while Thoresby slumped to 171-7 with only Chris Bennett (55) holding up proceedings. Bernhard Beukman, with 3-28, was the pick of the Worksop attack.

Farnsfield were the only side in the league to be upset by rain, which ended their match against Notts & Arnold Amateur prematurely.

Batting first, Farnsfield made 248- 7 with Callum McKenzie making 95, Curtis Mitchell (64) and Liam Delaney (37) all batting well.

The Notts & Arnold reply was good with Sam Ecob (52) and Liam Patterson-White (57 not out) both batting well, while Mark Hallam was the leading bowler with 4-58.

Notts & Arnold finished on 172-5 and the match could have swung either way when the rain set in.
