HOTSHOT -- Adey Lang was on target again

Birthday boy Adey Lang was on target as HUCKNALL SPORTS UNDER-16S WHITE fought out a 1-1 draw in the Notts Youth League’s Saturday First Division.

Lang expertly dispatched a penalty for his fourth goal of the season moments from the interval -- after Maleek Batten had been tripped as he bore down on goal, showing an electric turn of pace.

But although it gave Sports a deserved lead, home side Trowell Blue hit back with a lucky equaliser in the second half when a defensive clearance deflected off the legs of centre-forward Stephen Gray and bobbled into the net.

As both sides chased the winner, the mercurial Charlie Blatherwick had to go off with suspected concussion -- only minutes after replacing James Hallam, who also sustained a nasty injury.

Sports’s man-of-the-match was ‘silent assassin’ Dylan Smith, who was brilliant in an unfamiliar left-back role.

A HAT-trick by Sam Hickman was the highlight of a first win of the new season for LINBY COLLIERY WELFARE UNDER-18S in the Saturday First Division.

Man-of-the-match Hickman helped Linby triumph 4-1 at Jacksdale Miners Welfare Colts, with Jack Fisher the other player to net.

GOALS from Rian Charles and Alex Paterson were not enough to prevent a 4-2 defeat for HUCKNALL TOWN HARRIER UNDER-18S in the Sunday First Division.

Harrier were all-square at 2-2 at half-time but fell at home to Keyworth United Green.

KALLUM O’Dowd struck twice as ROLLS-ROYCE LEISURE UNDER-18S earned their first victory of the season in the Sunday Third Division.

Rolls won 4-1 away to Ravenshead Reds Stars, with Sam Atkins and substitute Jack Hudson also on the scoresheet.

CONFIDENT ROLLS-ROYCE LEISWURE UNDER-16S made it two wins out of two with a 3-1 eclipse of West Bridgford Harriers in the Saturday Second Division.

All three goals came in the first half and were shared by Tyler Sims (2) and Josh Brown.
