The fifth-placed Yellows face a tough home match against Eastwood CFC at the weekend.

They go into it on the back of recording their fifth win of the EMCFL campaign after their 3-2 win at Clifton All Whites on Saturday, which saw Adam Nelson hit a brilliant winner in the first minute of stoppage time.

“It will be another tough battle, I would expect there to be a good crowd there and as long as they get behind us we will be happy,” he said.

“It is not going to be the make or break, where we are is ahead of where we were this time last season.

“The draws can kill you and that is showing itself this season.

“Last year we were new to the league and a bit cagey, now we are trying to go for it this year.

“It didn't come off against Heanor but it did on Saturday.

“We want to be in the mix at Christmas, that is when you have a few weeks to apply for promotion no matter where you are in the league, we will make a decision then.

“ We are in a good position at the moment.”

Graves was also delighted with the fight his side showed in the win at Clifton.

“it was hard fought and we rode our luck at times, but the resilience and workrate, the determination and spirit was fantastic on Saturday,” he added.

"It was a real momebt of quality to win the match. You have to fight for every win in this league. We have played far better against Heanor and came off with a 1-0 loss, it shows you what football is like.”

The Town boss is also confident that the season will also be completed despite all the COVID uncertainty.

He added: “Football is one of the safest sports around and I don't see why it won't be finished.

“There will be the odd occasion when a game is off but football itself has not had many issues.

“We have had decent crowds and had fans in since August, we have done all that is asked of us and nothing has been a problem with any of our games.

“It’s nice to see crowds coming through, there's a lot of people who are scared of it, but the stats show football does not have it too bad.”
