A second hat-trick of the season from man-of-the-match Adey Lang was the highlight of another scoring spree by HUCKNALL SPORTS UNDER-16S WHITE in the Notts Youth League.

resh from their 17-0 romp the previous week, Sports crushed Keyworth United White 7-1 in a league cup win that included their best football of the season so far in the second half.

Things didn’t begin that well because after Tom Eastwood had hit a post, a defensive muddle gifted the visitors the lead and only an incredible save by ‘keeper Kal Orton prevented a second goal. But Lang’s driven cross was headed into his own net by a Keyworth defender and when Ryan Towle ghosted in to nod home, Sports went in at the break 2-1 up.

Lang completed his treble with goals that included a rasping volley and after James Hallam had smashed home, substitute Maleek Batten was rewarded for a fightback from injury with his first goal of the season.

GOALS from Brandon Stapley and Casey O’Brien returned BULWELL ATHLETIC UNDER-16S RED to winning ways. Athletic beat Calverton Miners Welfare Blue 2-1 in the Sunday Third Division of the Notts Youth League, with Jack Endsor taking the man-of-the-match award.

RELIEVED ROLLS-ROYCE LEISURE UNDER-15S needed a nailbiting penalty shootout, won 5-3, to edge into the next round of the Notts Youth League Saturday Cup. First Division leaders Rolls were held to a 3-3 draw by third-placed Aslockton Cranmers, despite goals from Charley Hartshorn, man-of-the-match Mitchell Jackson and Sam Jackson.

HIGH-flying HUCKNALL SPORTS UNDER-15S BLACK extended their unbeaten run to six games in the Sunday First Division of the Notts Youth League. In a 6-0 win at Netherfield Boys, the goals were shared by Josh Pearson (2), Matt Bloor, man-of-the-match Pierce Hallam, Sam Jackson and Adam Loydall.
