CML round-up: Thoresby hit six

Two goals each from Jammy Meehan and Liam Black saw Bilsthorpe well in control at the interval, Elyja Takram Shah pulling one back for the visitors. Meehan completed his hat-trick and there was one for Tristan Burrell as Bilsthorpe consolidated in the second half.

Thoresby Colliery have hit a sticky patch over the last few weeks and slipped to fifth after going down 4-3 at home to Kinsley Boys.

Andy Davies scored twice for the visitors, with Joel Edwards and Conor Howell also on target, while Lewis Bingham, Jamie Tryner and Ross Hagerty got the Thoresby goals.

Welbeck Welfare celebrated a rare victory with a 2-1 defeat of Sherwood Colliery.

In the Black Dragon Badges South Division, Clifton All Whites crowned a successful week with a 6-1 win on their visit to Mickleover RBL.

After taking the points at Hucknall Rolls on Wednesday night, Clifton did their goal difference a bit of good with Ben Clarke grabbing a hat-trick, further goals coming from Jack Reid, Ben Richardson and Oliver Mason, the Legion scoring a consolation goal through Danny Briscoe.

Leaders Mickleover Royals maintained their five point lead with a 2-0 victory over third-placed Pinxton. Both goals came in the second half from Steve O’Connell.

Hucknall Rolls got over their midweek defeat by putting a dent in Belper United’s hopes, the final scoreline 4-2.

Rolls had to come from behind, after Tristan Spencer and Nick Murray scored for Belper, the home side taking the points thanks to Chay Betteridge, who scored twice, Greg Conn and an own goal.

Eastwood Community climbed out of the bottom two for the first time, swapping places with Southwell City, after an emphatic 4-1 win.

Kyle Hall (2), Tom Budd and Lewis Bentley all scored for the improving Eastwood side, Chris Bowles getting the Southwell goal.

Swanwick Pentrich Road adapted to the conditions better than visitors Blidworth Welfare and finished 3-2 winners. despite going behind twice.

Dean Owen, with two, and Shane Buckerfield claimed the points for Swanwick, Lee Easom and Liam Theakstone replying for Blidworth.

It was defeat number 22 for Holbrook St Michaels as they travelled to Linby Colliery, going down 3-1.

Joe Butler opened the scoring for Linby, Ruban Mitchell’s penalty doubling the lead.

Shane Burrows pulled one back on 66 minutes, but Butler restored the two goal margin just four minutes later.

Real United and Hucknall Town shared the points in a 2-2 draw, the Hucknall goals scored by Stef Whiteley and Aaron Evans.
