A deflected Caynte Maxwell goal sealed a 1-0 win for Hucknall Town over Swanwick Pentrich Road.
Both sides came into this game off the back of good wins in their previous match and the first half seemed a very tight affair.
Neither side managed to create any clear cut chances, which was testament to both defences.
The Swans best chance came via a free-kick from midfielder Chris Turner, however, a slight deflection from the Hucknall wall saw off the threat.
The second half continued to see both sides having to work hard to create chances.
As the game went on, Hucknall grew in confidence and began to wear the visitors down.
And with 20 minutes to go, the home side took a well-deserved lead through Caynte Maxwell.
However, Swanwick shot-stopper Adam Jablonski was disappointed to be beaten at the hands of a deflection.
Jablonski had a particularly fine afternoon and his performance alone deserved a clean sheet.
In the past, Swanwick have shown grit and determination to get themselves out of trouble and claim points, even when that haven’t performed to the best of their ability.
But, on this occasion, this was not the case and Hucknall saw off the remaining minutes to claim victory.
