“The brains behind the team is Paul Prewett who was Craig’s best friend,” said Chris Dowhan, a county coach developer for Notts. “Paul has done a fantastic job in assembling AFC Dowhan and then managing them to their position in the Sunday morning’s premier league.

“Everyone knows what Paul did for Craig and we shouldn’t forget Sarah, Paul’s wife, who has never stopped visiting Diane (Craig’s mum) and Chris and helping them to stay positive on a regular basis.”

Chris also wanted to make a special mention to Gav Mee, another close friend of Craig’s, who has been a constant support for the family and who currently coaches AFC Dowhan.

On the day itself, there will be junior football on shaw as well as three teams competing for Craig’s Trophy. The event start at 12noon and finishes at 5pm.
