Legendary former Hucknall Town manager Steve Burr is dreaming of more FA Cup glory after another terrific result in last weekend’s Second Round.
Burr (54) steered his non-league outfit, Chester City, to a goalless draw away to Barnsley, of League One, to follow up a 2-1 win at Southend United, of League Two, in the opening round.
If they win next week’s replay, Chester, who currently sit mid-table in the Vanarama Conference, will face League One high-fliers Middlesbrough at home in the Third Round.
Burr will be forever remembered in these parts for building a Hucknall Town side good enough to win the Unibond Northern Premier League title in 2004.
He left Watnall Road soon afterwards when Town’s ground was deemed inadequate to go up to the top level of the Conference.
