Scott Shearer, Kyle Howkins, Jack Thomas, Oscar Gobern and Darious Henderson were brought into the side with Brian Jensen, Matt Green, and Mitch Rose dropped to the bench and Lee Collins and Jamie McGuire left out of the 18 tonight.

Also on the bench was 17-year-old youth team defender Keiran Harrison.

The Rams included Shirebrook youngster Mason Bennett.

Having lost their opening group game 2-0 at home to Doncaster, the Stags pulled off a surprise 1-0 away win at Port Vale.

That left them third in Group E on goal difference with leaders Doncaster on five points and at home tonight to second-placed Port Vale, on three points. Stags are also on three points but a goal worse off than Vale while the Rams are bottom with a single point. The top two sides will go through tonight.
