Jordan replaces Craig Humphreys and Carl Vickers, who resigned a fortnight ago after the final league game of the season.

The 30-year-old has an extensive playing career in the non-League game, having started his career with Chesterfield before moving on to spells with Hucknall Town and Buxton.

He then moved to Alfreton Town in 2008 and had four successful years at the Impact Arena, including being part of the 2010/11 squad that won the Blue Square North title and promotion to the Blue Square Premier.

After over 100 appearances for the Reds, he left in 2012 and had further spells with Buxton and Hucknall before joining Heanor Town.

It was at Heanor, where he had his previous managerial experience as player/manager for the final six months of the 2012/13 season, where he achieved an 11th place finish in the NCEL Premier.

Last season, he featured for Mickleover Sports in the Evo-Stik NPL before finishing the season with Shirebrook Town as well as making a couple of appearances for Glapwell.
