HUCKNALL Town Reserves are going well.

Striker Aaron Evans took full advantage of a blank day of action for Hucknall Town’s first team in the Central Midlands League’s South Division last Saturday.

Evans, who has been in fine goalscoring for Andy Graves’s side, stepped down to the Reserves Premier Division to help out HUCKNALL TOWN RESERVES.

And he duly popped up with a goal that inspired The Yellows towards a good 3-2 victory against struggling Sherwood Colliery Reserves at Watnall Road.

Also on target for the home team was former Bulwell player Ako Abdullah, while they benefited too from an own goal. The scorers for next-to-bottom Sherwood were Alastair McJannett and Lee Townsend.

It was the sixth win in 11 games for Town, who sit fourth in the table in what is proving to be a successful maiden season.
