Three players helped themselves to braces as HUCKNALL TOWN HARRIER UNDER-15S showed who’s boss in a local derby against HUCKNALL WARRIORS UNDER-15S RED for Notts Youth League points.

Harrier eased to an 8-1 victory, with Tyler Hallam, Cameron Murdock and substitute Adam Spencer all netting twice for the home side, who led 4-0 at the break.

Man-of-the-match Ben Ainsworth and Kieran Bexon were on the scoresheet too, while Giovanni Marraffa replied for Warriors, who remain firmly rooted to the bottom of the Sunday Third Division table without a single point from 14 games.

WEST Bridgford Eagles crash-landed when they came across ROLLS-ROYCE LEISURE UNDER-18S in the Sunday Third Division. For Rolls recorded a fine 4-2 victory.

Sam Atkins, Connor Clifford, Dominic Hayes and Kallum O’Dowd were all on target for The Rollers, whose man-of-the-match was Adam Corah.

STARKLY contrasting results befell HUCKNALL TOWN UNDER-16S and HUCKNALL WARRIORS UNDER-16S RED in the Sunday First Division. For while top-of-the-table Town thumped Ravenshead Reds 7-0, next-to-bottom Warriors slid to a 9-0 defeat at home to Kimberley Miners Welfare.

Town made it nine wins from ten matches with a six-goal second-half goal-rush at home to bottom-of-the-table Ravenshead. But their closest pursuers in the title race, Kimberley, were far too strong for Warriors, despite a man-of-the-match performance by Ethan Jacques.

The goalscorers for the visitors were Patrick Webb, with a hat-trick, Connor Wrenn, with a double, and Thomas Eastwood, Adrian Lang, Dante Diriso and James Hallam, all with singles strikes.

UNBEATEN HUCKNALL SPORTS UNDER-15S BLACK took a break from their challenge for the championship to record a terrific victory in the quarter-finals of the Sunday league cup.

Sports were drawn away to Pegasus Youth, who sit just below them in the First Division table, but triumphed 2-1 thanks to goals from Kellen Gretton and man-of-the-match Josh Pearson. They now play divisional leaders Carlton Town Blue in the last four on a date to be arranged at the Goosedale Complex in Bestwood Village.
