Hucknall Rolls Leisure put their midweek cup defeat by Belper behidn them, by beating top of the table Eastwood Community away from home.
Jack Smith gave Rolls the lead on seven minutes, latching onto a through ball by Robbie Manners and finishing with aplomb.
Rolls almost doubled their lead five minutes later but the home keeper produced a smart save from a close range effort by Greg Conn.
On 23 minutes Eastwood equalised as the ball was cleared from a Rolls set play, Rory Smith lost possession and Eastwood broke away with pace to level.
This totally changed the half as Eastwood totally dominated with Rolls on the back foot.
The second half started much the same as the first ended with Eastwood in command.
The home side weere virtually camped in Rolls half, but when the defence was breached Eastwood found keeper Walker in fine form, producing several great saves.
It was Rolls who took the lead against the run of play on 68 minutes.
Substitute Matt Peberday and Conn took a quick free-kick which caught Eastwood napping, and from Conn’s cross McDermott side footed against the upright with the ball rebounding against the defender on the line into the net.
As Eastwood went in search of an equaliser Rolls broke away, worked the ball well down the left side and Smith made a late run into the area to finish off the move.
In the final minute Rolls had a chance to score a fourth but Kane Mathews’ penalty was saved by the keeper.
