Hucknall six-a-side league leaders helped by Newstead no-show

Unbeaten leaders Abu Dhabi were handed their tenth win of the season on a plate in the HUCKNALL SIX-A-SIDE MONDAY NIGHT LEAGUE at The National Academy.

For their scheduled oppoinents, Newstead, failed to turn up, gifting Abu Dhabi an automatic 5-0 walkover win to keep them three points clear.

Naughty America stay second after a 3-2 victory in a cracking game against Asian Persuasion, who hit back from 2-0 down before falling to a late winner. Jack Paterson was the Naughty boys’ man-of-the-match.

The rest of the ten teams are at least another three points behind, headed by Baywatch Babes and Team 316.

Baywatch were in rampant mood putting 18 goals past bottom-of-the-table Tea And Busquets and punishing every error. Ruthlessness in front of goal was highlighted by man-of-the-match Tom Eastwood.

Team 316, inspired by star man Daz Scrimshaw, also coasted home -- 6-2 against Wa1tz D1sn3y. But the other two fixtures were much tighter. Heaton Sports edged past The Groomsmen 6-5 in a thriller, while Warriors and K.F.C. shared a 1-1 draw. The man-of-the-match accolades went to Ben Morris (Heaton) and Neil Banks (K.F.C.).
