The Yellows went into lockdown with a 5-2 win over Kimberley to leave them with 18 points from nine outings.

And the Town chief is now keen to keep the ratio high by avoiding damaging draws.

“You've got to be fairly pleased with the points ratio,” said Graves

“We are slightly ahead of ourselves because we are not drawing games. Drawing games can kill you

“Draws can do more damage at tines, so we have planned to cut those out, which we have done so far.

“We have always scored goals and we have tried to go for it this season. We just need to tighten up at the back now

“we are used to getting clean sheets as well. If we add that to it, then it bodes well for the future.

“We want to be up there at Christmas so we can put our application in for promotion.

“It is tight up there, but we are in the mix and we are in a good place.”

Graves now hopes his side can pick up where they left off whenever football resumes.

And he is also keen to see striker Grant Ryan get better protection from referees.

Ryan was red-carded in defeat to Eastwood but has since seen that decision overturned.

He returned in style to bag a hat-trick in the following 5-2 win over Kimberley.

“We said it was harsh and we are pleased the three match ban has been overturned,” said Graaves.

“He is handful, he is quality, he can score goals.

“I don’t think he gets a lot of pretoeciton and it was unfortune he got sent off. As it has been deemed, it wasn’t a sending off.

“I appreciate the fans who sent us footage or we wouldn’t have got it overturned.

“He didnt need to prove anything to me. We know he gets singled out and we knew Eastwood would do that.

"We had a chat before the Kimberley game and I said to just ‘let your boots do the talking.’

"He will draw attention and get singled out because of how he plays.”
