Lambe leaves, but Stags hoping to unveil new signing today
However, the Stags are hoping to complete and unveil a new signing themselves later today.
Bermudian Lambe has put pen to paper with Keith Curle on a deal at Brunton Park despite manager Adam Murray offering him new terms to remain with Mansfield.

Nevertheless, Murray this morning said he had two more players lined up, with one deal possibly to be completed today.
“One is already agreed,” he said. “He’s just got to sign on the dotted line but he’s away on holiday at the minute so we’ll have to wait for that one.
“But we may possibly have one today and a couple are virtually there, so it’s all going to plan and, hopefully, within the next 10 days we’ll be done and dusted.”

On Friday they filled the first of those winger slots with the arrival of Dagenham & Redbridge’s Ashley Hemmings.
“We are bringing in people that can play a number of positions well and be effective,” said Murray.
“In the wide areas we had nothing until Friday, so we needed to make a couple of signings in that area.
“With Ashley coming in he can play wide left or wide right.

“He is a mixture between Junior Brown and Reggie Lambe. I’ve liked him for a long time and I think the fans will.”
