Law strikes as young Stags impress against Rovers

Jason Law's first half strike earned a young Mansfield Town reserves side a 1-1 home draw with Doncaster Rovers reserves at Rainworth MW's Kirklington Road ground this afternoon.

First team boss David Flitcroft had elected not to play any first team squad members so he could check on his up and coming talent.

Stags had already hit the bar by the time Law struck in style on 17 minutes.

Jordan Graham’s ball across the edge of the box went all the way to the winger, whose left-footed strike flew into the top corner.

On 49 minutes Thomas saw his dinked effort scooped off the Rovers line by Tyler Garrett and three later Doncaster were level as a cross to the back post found Robbie Miller to fire home.

Keeper Sundby then had to make a fine save on the hour to deny Morris a winner for the visitors.
