From leading wicket takers at cricket to Olympic champions, here’s 9 locals who have put our area on the map.

Bulwell's Ellie Downie won the All-around 2017 European gymnastics championship to become Britain's first gymnast to win a major all-around title. She made her GB debut back in 2012.
