Mansfield Town report racist abuse against skipper Krystian Pearce after Sheffield Wednesday debacle
Mansfield Town Football Club have reported an allegation of racist abuse directed at its captain Krystian Pearce to both the Football Association and Nottinghamshire Police following last week's home friendly against Sheffield Wednesday, which ended in a mass brawl.
Pearce was clearly livid at something that happened involving Wednesday’s Fernando Forestieri and had to be physically hauled off the field by manager David Flitcroft just before the end.
Forestieri was then involved in another incident with Calum Butcher which sparked the mass brawl.
The club has liaised with Kick It Out and will not be making any further comment until the investigations are concluded.
