Fisher limped off during Stags’ 0-0 draw at Tranmere Rovers to further add to Mansfield’s woeful luck with injuries.

Fisher’s absence now means Stags are missing four strikers, with Matt Rhead, Ollie Palmer and Liam Hearn all in the treatment room, as well a number of other key players.

Kieron Freeman also picked up a knock, the extent of which is currently being evaluated following a scan

Assitant manager Micky Moore said: “It seems that every game we play at the moment we lose more players.

“We brought Daniel Carr in to replace a player and as soon as we do that we lose another.

“We do not have the biggest of squads and now we are without four forwards.

“I can’t put my finger on what is going on, we have had terrible luck with injuries.

“We will evaluate things before we decide whether we need to go out and bring in a replacement.”
