Grimsby game gets the go-ahead after Stags’ pitch is declared fit

Mansfield Town’s match at home to Grimsby Town will go ahead tonight as intended after the pitch passed an earlier-than-planned inspection.
Local referee Dave Plowright deemed the pitch playable at 2.30pm today after relentless work by the club’s groundstaff.

Tonight’s match will kick off at 7.45pm and is the first of three games in eight days against BSBP title rivals with Stags going into the game joint top with Wrexham and Kidderminster and third only on goal difference.
