Injured McGuire misses out for Stags at Wycombe

Chris Clements took over the central midfield role and McGuire sat on the bench just to make up a full seven for injury-hit Mansfield.

That was the only change which meant Ritchie Sutton kept his place in the back three, despite limping off last weekend with a hamstring injury.

He is not 100 per cent, but with little cover at the back right now, Stags felt he was sufficiently recovered to take a chance on.

Fergus Bell had also shaken off a swollen ankle picked up in last weekend’s 2-1 win at Exeter.
