Mansfield Town turn down bids for Ryan Tafazolli and Sam Clucas
Dundee United’s offer for defender Ryan Tafazolli has been turned down, while an unnamed League One Club has also been unsuccessful in their bid for winger Sam Clucas.
Speaking at a news conference this morning, manager Paul Cox told the club’s official website, www.mansfieldtown.net: “Both offers have been turned down ‘flat’. I don’t want to lose my best players and I’m not in the business of simply giving away players.

“It’s a positive in the sense that we’ve brought through two young players who are being coveted by clubs in higher leagues but we won’t roll over and let our players go, for what we feel, is little compensation.”
Ryan Tafazolli picked up two club awards at the end of last season while wingman Sam Clucas claimed the Golden Boot, scoring 13 goals.
