Pidgeley debut as Stags make five changes against Stevenage

New loanee keeper Lenny Pidgeley celebrated his 31st birthday by making his Mansfield Town debut in today’s home clash with Stevenage.

The Newport keeper was one of five changes to Adam Murray’s side today.

Lee Beevers came back into the defence with Chris Clements, back from illness, in the midfield.

Murray also brought back Billy Kee and Matt Rhead into a three man strike force alongside Vadaine Oliver, who had also shaken off illness. Rhead was in, despite worries over a calf injury in midweek.

Last week’s keeper, loanee Adam Smith, has returned to Leicester City while Matty Blair was stretchered off injured and is out for the season.

Left out were Simon Heslop, Reggie Lambe, Junior Brown, all dropped to the bench.

Stags began the day six without a win while Stevenage had lost their last two games.
