The 23-year-old, on loan from Queens Park Rangers, will now stay with the Stags until the New Year.
Sendles-White has been a permanent figure in the Stags defence since joining on loan in October – producing a string of mature and accomplished displays.
His loan will expire at midnight on Saturday, 3rd January.

Cox was delighted to be able to keep hold of Sendles-White for the tough schedule ahead going into the New Year.

“For a young centre half coming into League Two it is always tough,” he said. “But I think Jamie has shown great promise. What I am looking for now is hard consistency.

“We know he is technically gifted as you would expect a player from a Premier League club to be. He is now learning the hard, robust things as a defender you should be able to do.

“Come 1st January when he has to go back, we’d like to see him go with a few more added things to his game.

“Overall he has done well. But he needs pushing and I think there is more to come from the young lad.”

Cox has already brought in central defender Luke Waterfall on loan from Scunthorpe this week to help ease a crisis that saw all four of the club’s centre halves out injured.

Cox said: “This gives us a bit more time. We have Ritchie Sutton coming back in mid-December, John Dempster back mid to late December, Ryan Tafazolli back in training this week and now we are taking Jamie Sendles-White to 1st January.

“That means we have the bodies to cope with the scenarios of late when we’ve had to fill holes rather than putting an established team out there.

“We are getting through though I am not singing from the rooftops yet.

“We are getting bodies back. We should have Ollie Palmer, Chris Clements and Simon Heslop back by the end of the week and then we will have some serious competition for places and I can start managing the squad as I want. I also want to improve it and bring bodies in, so if some need to go out I will have to see who needs to go and get some football.”
