The former Hereford man joined rivals Chesterfield for an undisclosed fee after Spireites upped their initial bid for the player.

It ended a 15-month stay for the former Hereford man, who was named in last season’s Sky Bet League Two Team of the Year and would have been a free agent next summer.

Colin Perry said: “Some former #stags greats have moved over the M1 before. Sorry Clucas has left; could turn out to be good business though.”
