Hotshots Jake Fisher and Conor Carter netted two goals apiece as BULWELL’S management changes inspired a welcome return to winning ways in the Central Midlands League’s South Division.

In struggling Holbrook St Michael’s, who have now lost ten of their 12 matches, Bulwell did not come across the strongest nof opponents. But after the rarity of two successive defeats, they were delighted with a 6-2 victory under the watchful eyes of new boss George Hulley.

Scott Miles returned in goal, while defender Tyler Smeed and lively midfielder Dan Chadwick became the latest recruits from Arnold Town’s academy to take their place in the line-up.

Carter gave The Bulls a tenth-minute lead before Fisher chipped the ‘keeper from a Felix Hogg pass and Carter’s lob made it three by the 24th minute.

The second half continued in the same vein with Carter smashing home. And after Holbrook had pulled two back, young substitute Kyle Nutt headed in number five on 81 and Tommy Kemp capped a man-of-the-match display.
