No complacency as Wrens draw CML opposition again in Senior Cup

The theme of ‘no complacency’ will be to the fore again when Rainworth make their entry into the Notts Senior Cup at the third round stage next month.

They have been drawn at home to Central Midlands South club Bulwell, and will recall only too well that last season they needed a penalty shoot out to dispose of one CML club, Newark Town, in the quarter-final before being defeated in the semi-final by another one, Sutton Town.

Bulwell currently sit in second place in the CML South, three points behind the leaders but with a game in hand.

The competition represents the Wrens’ last chance to win a knock-out competition this season following early exits in the FA Cup, Trophy and Dodson Sport Cup, and the tie is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 3rd December (7.45pm).

Full draw: Selston v Dunkirk, Retford United v Eastwood Town, Bilborough Pelican or Clipstone v Greenwood Meadows, Linby CW v Southwell City, Rainworth MW v Bulwell, Clifton All Whites v Cavaliers, Carlton Town v Sutton Town, Radcliffe Olympic v Basford United.
