Notts County announce training deal with Arnold Town

Notts County have entered into a new partnership with Arnold Town to use their facilities as a training base for the club.

Following lengthy negotiations between the two clubs, an agreement has been reached that will see Shaun Derry’s side use Arnold Town’s Eagle Valley stadium as their training base for at least the next two seasons.

Supporters will get a first hand look at Arnold Town’s ground when we play our first pre-season friendly of the summer at Eagle Valley on Wednesday 9 July, kick-off 7:30pm.

Notts County Chief Executive Jim Rodwell said: “I am delighted to have finalised this agreement and would firstly like to thank everyone that we have dealt with at Arnold Town for their professionalism and cooperation in getting this over the line.

“In Eagle Valley we have found a first class training base for the club and I hope that this is just the start of a long and successful partnership between our two clubs.”

Arnold Town Chairman Paul Cottee added: “This is a great opportunity for both clubs and hopefully a long term relationship can be formed. The partnership should benefit both clubs, the local community and the development of grassroots football.  ”

Notts County’s players return to the club for pre-season on Thursday and will be based at Arnold Town’s Eagle Valley from that date as they start their build-up to the 2014/15 season.
