NOTTS COUNTY: Fullarton defends team selection ahead of long trip to Yeovil

Notts County chief Jamie Fullarton insists minor alterations to his team selection is the way forward.

Fullarton has come under fire for his personnel selection recently, following County’s five-match winless run.

However, ahead of this weekend’s long trip to Yeovil the Scot defended his policy.

He said: “If you look at what we are trying to do, it is trying to achieve consistency in general.

People have highlighted in the media that I have picked the same team over a period of games.

“But I think if you have consistency in team selection you have a better chance of consistency in results and performances.

“Not only that but it helps produce better relationships on the pitch.”

With regards to the game against Darren Way’s side, Fullarton is expecting a tough encounter despite the fact the Glovers sit five points behind his side.

He added: “They are one of the form teams in the division at the moment.

“They have developed a style and a formula which has helped them get results.

“But we have a confidence and belief that we can get something from the game.

“They are not out of danger, but they are playing to their maximum at the moment.

“But it’s about what we do.”
