NOTTS COUNTY: Fullarton targets improvement as Magpies prepare for Hartlepool test

Notts County boss Jamie Fullarton is targeting an improvement in his side's performance as he looks for his first win at Meadow Lane.

County have enjoyed two away successes at Luton and Crawley since the Scot took up the reins last month.

Now he wants a maiden three-point haul at home when struggling Hartlepool visit on Saturday.

“I want to see more improvement,” Fullarton said.

“Not only do I want an improvement on the previous home performance, and result, but an improvement on what we did at Luton.

“Are we better? Can we show more than what we did last week?

“I thought it was a very assured performance and that was a great credit to the players.

“Again, the standards we have set and the levels we are looking for, means we have to see improvement.

“There was a resilience (against Luton) and it showed the work we are trying to do on a daily basis.

“It provided us with confidence and an assured performance.”

He is now looking for his side to continue their impressive style of play when Ronnie Moore’s side arrive at Meadow Lane.

He added: “Each game provides a different test.

“Hartlepool will be much different to AFC Wimbledon.

“We go to win every game, not to lose and that’s clear in my message to the players.

“I believe that we can no matter who we play.”

Fullarton could hand a full debut to Doncaster loanee Gary Mackenzie.
