Stags offer free tickets to Armed Forces

Tickets For Troops (TFT) is a charity which provides free tickets to a wide range of high profile and popular music, sports, theatre, entertainment and cultural events.

The service is open to every single serving member of the Armed Forces and those medically discharged since 2001.

The charity was set up in 2009 to recognise the brave servicemen and women who spend months away from their families, need to be available to serve at short notice and put their lives on the line for our country.

They recognise their commitment, drive and dedication by offering them, on behalf of their donors, tickets to events which they can share with their loved ones, as a small acknowledgement of the work they do.

TFT have distributed over 800,000 complimentary tickets to the troops across the UK since 2009 and have over 140,000 members registered. During the 15/16 football season, 69 clubs donated over 30,000 tickets to the Forces through Tickets For Troops.

Stags’ operations director Tina Broughton is delighted to be able to offer something back to those who risk their lives defending our country.

She said: “I think it’s vitally important that clubs such as ourselves recognise the hard work and bravery shown every day by men and women who defend our country.

“The Armed Forces do such a fantastic job, both at home and abroad, and we believe this is the least we can do to offer them something in return.

“The Army has played such a large part in my life - numerous members of my family have served in the Forces - including John, our chairman, so the Forces have always been close to my heart.

“We are so pleased to be working in conjunction with Tickets For Troops and look forward to welcoming personnel from all branches of the Armed Forces during the 2016/17 season.”

If there are any serving members of the Forces or those who have been medically discharged since 2001, booking tickets for Stags’ games couldn’t be easier.

Visit ticketsfortroops.org.uk and set up an account if you haven’t already. Then search ‘Mansfield Town’ and you will be able to book tickets on a first-come-first-served basis.

Please note, tickets are not available directly from Mansfield Town.
