The fixture was the first of five consecutive away outings for the Stags following back-to-back home games.

Mike Whitlow’s men returned to Cup action for the first time since a 4-2 defeat by an experienced Chesterfield development squad on September 14th.

Stags were today missing the services of striker Zayn Hakeem, who is away on international duty with the Antigua and Barbuda U20s.

Also missing was first teamer James Baxendale, expected to play after skippering the side last time out and currently out the first team frame.

Stags lined-up: Hassan, Bloor, Wilder, Lewis Collins, Harrison, Baldwin, Marriott, George, N. Blake, Law, Danquah. Subs: Ratcliffe, Healey, C. Smith, Johal, Fitzpatrick.
