Mansfield Town strikers Liam Hearn and Rakish Bingham have both today left the club, joining Lincoln and Hartlepool respectively.
Bingham, who finished joint top scorer with Vadaine Oliver on seven goals, was allowed out on loan at relegation rivals Hartlepool United for a month at the turn of the year, but returned to net crucial goals against Luton Town and AFC Wimbledon.
But at 1pm today he announced as a new signing for Hartlepool on their official club web site
Goal machine Hearn saw his season wrecked for a third season on the trot when he picked up a serious knee injury in August in only his second game.
After much hard work, he returned to play a cameo role with two substitute’s appearances late in the season.
But this morning it was announced he had followed Matt Rhead and Lee Beevers in joining Conference neighbours Lincoln City.
There was little information coming out of One Call Stadium as to what the pair had, if anything, been offered for next season.
On Bingham, a statement read: “Striker Rakish Bingham has this morning left Mansfield Town FC.
“The 21-year-old joined us on a free transfer in the early weeks of last term and helped us secure our Football League status.
“Everyone at the club would like to thank Rakish for his efforts and wish him the best of luck in his future career.”
On Hearn, the club said: “Striker Liam Hearn has this morning joined Lincoln City on a one-year contract.
“The 29-year-old, who joined us on a free transfer last summer, featured on just a handful of occasions for us due to a knee injury, but returned in the closing weeks of the campaign to help us retain our Football League status.
“Everyone at the club would like to thank Liam for his efforts during the 2014/15 campaign and wish him the best of success in his future career.”
