Along with the 17-year-old youth team winger, also into the side came Oscar Gobern, Ashley Hemmings, CJ Hamilton and Darius Henderson.

Out went Pat Hoban, Mitch Rose, Danny Rose, Jamie McGuire and Kevan Hurst.

League One Vale went one step further and made six changes to their side.

They are currently sixth in the table and have won five and only lost one of their home League matches.

Despite poor home form, Stags were tonight hoping for a fifth away game without defeat, though have gone seven games without a win.

Adam Murray’s men lost their group Trophy opener against visiting Doncaster Rovers and will complete the group with a trip to Derby County Academy next month.
