U11 side show positive signs despite Bridgford defeat

The girls of Notts County U11 showed encouraging signs in their 4-2 defeat at West Bridgford.

The side were dealt a blow ahead of kick off when they had only 11 players to chose from.

But it was still an improvement on the visit to West Bridgford only a few months ago when they arrived with just five players.

The girls played some great football and the link up play between defence and the attack was excellent at times.

This was the girls’ best performance and were unfortunate not have scored more goals, with Alicia Sandin-James, Jessica Croft and Sally Warsop-Hook having the pick of the chances.

The goals came from a well taken goal from Ameliyah Rimell and a wonderful free kick from Sophie Wright.

Player of the match was awarded to Jessica Croft.
