Would you like live match commentary at Stags games?

Mansfield Town are planning to offer in-stadium commentary for blind/visually impaired supporters, which would be free of charge to those fans.

But the club have also launched a survey to gauge whether fully-sighted supporters would be interested in purchasing headsets to also listen to the commentary, the same service as on offer at some cricket grounds.

A Stags spokesperson said: “We would like feedback from our supporters regarding whether they would be interested in listening to live commentary of our home games, whilst attending the match.

“The club are currently deciding whether to install equipment which would allow us to broadcast live match commentary inside the stadium, through individual earpieces.

“Therefore, we would like your opinion as to whether supporters would take advantage of the innovative idea.

“The commentary would be used primarily to enhance blind and partially sighted supporters’ matchday experience, but the club would also like to offer the service to other supporters.”
