Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth has praised his opposite number at Mansfield Town ahead of Saturday’s League Two match at One Call Stadium.
Ainsworth, whose side are looking for their first away win of the season after losing five, including the last four, and drawing one of the matches on their travels, said: “Adam took over when I just started out at Wycombe. They are a good side and I have massive respect for him.
“To get through the first season as a manager is a tough thing to do because obviously people are questioning you at every corner and there is a pressure on you.
“And it’s especially hard when you take over a team of players that you haven’t signed, Adam did that and he has done a good job and set them up well.”

Ainsworth, whose side did the double over the Stags last season and have not lost any of their last five encounters, believes that his side will be facing one of the best strikers in League Two.
“They have one of the best strikers in the league in Matt Green. They will be very tough, physical and they don’t hold back in anything. He (Murray) has got them playing very well.
“They are ninth in a very tough division with teams who have been spending very big so we know it is going to be a very very hard game.”
Murray, who Stags will be looking for a third successive win after last weekend’s thrilling derby success over Notts County, said: “Wycombe are a strong team. The way they go about things is very efficient. They work hard and represent the manager very well.
“They have been a force in this league for the last few years, so we are expecting a tricky affair.”
