RBL had started the season in good form but they were no match for a Yellows side looking to extend their 100 per cent record and they took the game to RBL from the off.

But for a couple of good saves by their keeper the scoreline would have looked very different before an RBL defender being put under pressure by Leon Aikman and Matt Brian got into a mix up and put the ball into his own net on 20 minutes.

The Yellows increased the pressure but some dogged defending and another good save from the RBL keeper, getting down low to turn a shot around the post, kept the score respectable until Jordan Phillips crashed a shot into the net following a corner on 31 minutes.

Town continued to force the tempo and Josh Henry made it three on 48 minutes after a finishing a good move.

Mickleover had their first effort on target on 55 minutes but James Beddingham saved well, before three minutes later Michael Banister hit a superb fourth from outside the box.

Leon Aikman got himself into some good scoring positions but was denied by the keeper and the bar.

Joe Ashurst had already swung in a vicious corner that was cleared off the line but on 67 minutes the unfortunate RBL keeper, who had kept town at bay on many occasions during the game, couldn’t prevent Ashurst’s corner fizzing through his hands.
